This R5-3205 reel fits on the reelmowers from Toro and replaces the original with number 12-0729. A reel consist of twisted knives that are placed on a cylinder. The R5-3205 had 5 blades mounted on the cylinder. The grass is caught between the blades on the cillinder and the sweeping motion cuts the grass on the bedknife. To get a nice looking pitch, the blade has to be sharp. A dull blade tears the grass and damages it on top of that it makes the grass look unevenly cut.
