The R8-5149 reels fits for your Toro reelmower and replaces the original with nummer 8-5149. Mowers with cutting reels are mainly used for precise mowing jobs on the sports and golf courses and for the public green spaces. The mowing result is very good because the mowers can mow precisely down to the millimetre.
A series of sharp blades are put on a cylinder and come into contact with the bedknife. On the R8-5149 there are 5 knives mounted. The reel and bedknife are placed opposing each other so the grass cut between the reel and the bedknife. To get a nice looking pitch, the blade has to be sharp. A dull blade tears the grass, damaging it in the process.
